About the Location - Marsascala
Marsascala also known as Wied il-Għajn is a small seaside village in Malta that has grown around the small harbour at the head of Marsascala Bay, a long narrow inlet also known as Marsascala Creek.
Marsascala is an ancient fishing village with its picturesque bay that lies to the southeast of Malta. The locality is peaceful and tranquil but comes to life especially in the summer and yet, it retains both its unique character and charm. Its rocky promontories and its multicolored fishing boats give contribute to its character. This is further enhanced by the pleasant promenade of shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and leisure facilities along the long stretch of water-front. Marsascala Bay used to extend deep into the valley to a cave with a natural spring of fresh water where old mariners took their water before sailing.
Marsascala has become a very sought after area for both family living as well as an investment opportunity or as a second holiday home both for Maltese and foreign buyers alike.
